After the critical success of Sarkar, comes the sequel ‘Sarkar Raj’ by Ram Gopal Varma. Boasting of a star cast that is every bollywood director’s dream, RGV gets the Bollywood’s first family together in this much debated political saga.

Playing the friendly ghost in Bhoothnath, subsequently Big B is now set to reign supremacy with his impressive character Subhash Nagre aka Sarkar. Handing over the power to his son Shankar (Abhishek Bachchan) in Sarkar, Subhash Nagre looks forward to retire. But Anita Rajan (Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan) making her entry in the Sarkar series, plays a spoilsport to his retirement by dragging him back into the mainstream politics. She has an ambitious project of setting up a Power plant in rural Maharashtra. Ash plays the high profile business woman from London who has set her mind on making it a success story. Knowing the impossibility of it without the Sarkar’s blessings, she succeeds in convincing Shankar about her plans. But Subhash Nagre’s go ahead takes more efforts.

As Shankar and Anita travel through rural Maharashtra to gain support from the masses, they realize the political forces are acting against them. Shankar finds himself losing grip on his dream project as it turns into a political game. The evil forces gang up against the Nagres’ while trying to erase the very existence of Shankar regime from politics.

‘The Godfather’ has proven itself to be inspiration for many a films across the world. While the plot for Godfather on which ‘Sarkar’ was loosely based, had already been set by Mario Puzo in his most admired book. However, RGV is to be credited with the plot for the sequel ‘Sarkar Raj’. The original one was a run away success, it remains to be seen how long the sequel continues to pull the crowd beyond the opening weekend.

Hi,
RGV, though has given some unexpected flops. But, i have kept my fingers crossed and hope that he won’t let his fans down.
Also, as ‘Sarkar’ proved to be a real blockbuster, so the expectations are ought to be very high from him.
The promos seems to be very promising, and the ‘govina govina..’ back ground score brings back the memories of ’sarkar’.
Abhishek Bachchan’s rugged look is a already a rave amongst the youngsters, and to add spice to it, aishwarya rai bachchan will be sharing the screen with her. Three seasoned actors will probably make their presence felt , and it will definitely turn out to be a PAISA WASOOL!
So folks, keep your fingers crossed, and plan for the advance booking. Don’t blame on others, if you are not able to get the tickets for the first week!
