Make some noise n say, Om Shanti Om!

October 13th, 2007 · 9 Comments

What happens when Mithun Chakraborty, Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Rekha, Jeetendra, Rishi Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Govinda, Juhi Chawla, Sridevi, Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan, Subhash Ghai, Hrithik Roshan, Shilpa Shetty, Karisma Kapoor, Tabu, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee, Sunil Shetty, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Amrita Arora, Malaika Arora, Abhishek Bachchan, Amisha Patel, Vidya Balan, Priyanka Chopra, Vishal Dadlani, Bobby Deol, Ritesh Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Karan Johar, Kajol, Tusshar Kapoor, Arbaaz Khan, Zayed Khan, Urmila Matondkar, Dia Mirza, Dino Morea, Javed Sheikh, Aftab Shivdasani, Deepika Padukone, Kiron Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Bindu, Arjun Rampal, and Shahrukh Khan come together in one film??

Its no film, its a carnival… only noise, no shanti!

Make some noise n say, Om Shanti Om!

Farah Khan is so cherished by the industry that none of these stars could actually object playing themselves in the movie. She has exercised absolute power when it came to making a film about the stars, being right here with them. Bollywood will see itself in the mirrors of a changing room. After all, much has changed with the Hindi movie heritage. We are getting technically superior, visually reverberant, musically enchanting and thematically diverse.

No doubt with movies like Om Shanti Om, the buzz spreads faster and peoples’ syndrome of eagerly awaiting bollywood entertainment gets stronger. With Laaga chunri me daag and Bhool bhulaiya gripping October tightly, Om shanti om promises a ‘delightful’ November to the crowds.

The movie and it’s related aspects are so many, that we can make another site dedicated to it. Well, gossip matters, so does opinion. I can’t stop myself from describing the following:

Shahrukh Khan ne body banaya baap!SRK! Whats happened to you? You are India’s superstar, heartthrob to a few lakh Indian girls, the best hockey coach any country could get, but whats with the physique? On the first glance it seems some expert morphing done on Bruce Lee. But he was in his early 30s and you are in your early 40s. Not bad though, inspiring youngsters (in their 20s) into modern, artificial calisthenics. How many biscuits can you see there? You can ask fans as they’ll know better (Salman has already experienced it).

How would you rate Shahrukh Khan’s six pack abs ?

  • Awesome!! Baap of all six pack abs (46%)
  • strictly ok.. I think Salmaan and Hrithik are better (27%)
  • …not worth discussing (27%)

Jokes apart, Shahrukh Khan rules, he is an exceptional superstar and a diligent cum hardworking professional.

Deepika! You are a shiniest star in the bollywood sky

Deepika! You are a shiniest star in the bollywood sky… How beautiful can someone be… I could write a love-letter to you everyday, it still won’t be enough. When you used to walk the ramp (which you still do), I’d always think to myself, “Man.. when do I see her on the big screen”, and here you are! The best glamor girl we could ever get, you represent our country’s exquisiteness. You are a dangerous siren who could excite even the ones living a forced celibate existence.

Enough sounding obsessed with Deepika. OSO has an interesting storyline, with the theme of reincarnation explored, the first half shows the 70s and the other half captures modern times. No conceptual acknowledgment expected from the rationalist, since in a few years science will prove reincarnation and thou shall know (again, opinion matters).

All looking forward to the OSO release, gossip, trivia always welcome.

SRK in an all new look, sincerely speaking -abs or no abs, with a gr8 physique or minus it, complete with Greek GOD features or sans it, King Khan undoubtedly is the ruling Baadshah of Bollywood today, an honour which once belonged to and to a gr8 extent still does to Mr Big B.

And now he has got the company of the bold and beautiful, enticing, charming, captivating, the newest and the brightest find of Bollywood, gorgeous (the list can go on n on) and of course someone who has a fan in the nation’s hearthrob MS Dhoni, Deepika Padukone, whose sharing all the print and the limelight these days with another starlet Miss Sonam Kapoor.

Lagaa Chunari Mein Daag (except for the brilliant performances of the reigning queen Rani and the almost perfectionist as far as acting is concerned Konkona) dint live upto the expectations of the junta.

Lets see if OSM with its hot package duo of SRK and Deepika lives upto and beyond people’s expectations, whether we can truly thank Farah for giving us another bright star.

The Indian cinema is growing and getting better in all aspects. So lets wait n watch if this Diwali release adds up to the kitty of good gen nex cinema !!!

I think this movie is over hyped… I just hope it lives upto the expectations.

From the promos, it seems full of masala and drama.
